Membership Agreement

Below is the membership agreement for both the Premiere and Platnium Memberships as well as the Membership Requirements.

Premiere Membership Agreement

Membership is not refundable but may be canceled at any time
No long term contract - Your package goes month to month.
Agreement may be canceled by either party at any time.
Author may publicize book as they so desire.
Author keeps all rights to their book, unless other written agreements have been made.
There is no yearly fee for the Premiere Membership. The yearly fee is to keep your book updated for distribution and marketing purposes and also covers any administrative costs. The yearly fee will be automatically deducted each year from the credit card used to purchase the membership. The credit card can be changed in your members area.
Membership may be canceled at any time.
Author will receive royalties on a monthly basis after the first 90 days from the date of the first sale.
The royalty fee per book is determined in your members area by you.
Royalty payments are made to you via PayPal or check mailed to you. There is a $5.00 fee for mailed checks. You may also use your royalties towards ECKO publishing services.
Your book must meet specific formatting guidelines in order to be ready for distribution. Click here for guidelines.
ECKO House Publishing makes no claims or takes any responsibility in the success or sales of any book.
ECKO House Publishing will be listed as the publisher for your title. Once again, you retain all rights and control of your book.
Final approval for distribution is at the discretion of the distributor.
Any returned books from distribution channels will be billed to you or subtracted from your monthly royatlies. Returned books will be held by us, however, you can request the books shipped to you for the cost of shipping.
Average turn around time for listings in distribution channels is 3 weeks, however, it may take upto 6 weeks. ECKO House Publishing is not responsible for delays
Submission is completed usually within 1 week of file approval and all required information is entered by you in your members area.
To list your book on Amazon and/or ECKO Books, we need to store at least 10 copies (total) of your book in our warehouse for easy distribution to retailers and individual buyers. Our minimum quantity printing order is 25 books; we can store 10 books and ship the remainder to you or store all 25 books here for anticipated sales.

Platinum Membership Agreement

There is a yearly fee of $29.95 for the Platinum Membership. The yearly fee is to keep your book updated for distribution and marketing purposes and also covers any administrative costs. The yearly fee will be automatically deducted each year from the credit card used to purchase the membership. The credit card can be changed in your members area.

If you need to make changes to your book, after the initial distribution file set up, the fee is $75.00 per file (the interior is considered is one file and the cover is considered another).
The royalty fee per book is determined in your members area by you.
Your royalty commission will be determined by the number of sales in a month, your royalty fee for sales minus any returns from retailers.

Membership Requirements

Book must not be involved in any lawsuits or legal matters.
Book must not be in contract with any other publisher or entity which may effect...
Book cannot contain visually pornographic material, snuff or child pornography.
Author(s) must own full rights to the book. If multiple authors contributed to the book, they all must agree to use ECKO Publishing
Book cannot promote terrorist activity, killing humans or animals, satanic rituals or abusive acts.
Each membership is good for one book title. If you have multiple books, you will need a membership for each title.
Book cannot promote any discriminatory and/or derogatory information, implications or ideas towards any race, creed, color, religious affiliation, gender, gender preferences or type of person such as someone who has a disability of any sort.
All controversial facts and/or information must be able to be substantiated. For example, if the book states that a well known person or organization has done something illegal, immoral or ethically questionable or drastically against the values they say they stand for, the information must have tangible proof such as reliable and verifiable documentation.

Book must meet formatting requirements for distribution. If ECKO is performing the design and formatting we make sure that your book meets these guidelines.
